Recruitment:  M. Oliver

  • M.Oliver posted on Facebook an appeal letter to the alumni, where there are 6000 East High alumni who read the Facebook page,  Mike was appealing to the alumni to join the board. Our  current board members’ average age is in the 70’s..  We need to have alumni members from those classes at least from the 1970s-1990’s to become involved in our events and be able to provide leadership on committees.  We provide a great service to Akron East High, our alma mater, but we need more alumni to assist with these tasks.  The future of the Alumni Association does depend on our board members, and our outstanding events. Without the current board members and lack of future board members, we will not be able to be a viable Akron East High Alumni Association.
  • Mike did not receive one response from the appeal letter.

Annual Golf Outing:  L.Bond/K.Larson

  • Ken Larson talked about their 1976 Reunion on August 1st and he would like Mike or anyone else to speak at the Reunion to get alumni interested in the board positions.
