Minutes: March 12, 2026

Absent: Rochelle Henderson, David Hoff, Marcia Martz, Mike Nickolich, Donald Young
The Board Meeting began at 5:10 p.m.
Minutes of February 5, 2026: C. Hayes moved and seconded by K, Larson to accept the February minutes as presented.
Treasurer’s Report: L. Bond
- Business Checking: Balance $1,912.55
- Non-Profit Checking: Balance $12,552.30
- Money Market Balance: $47,337.82
- Credit Card – Major expenses – 25 Keychains – $410; DECA $200
Next Bill Due: $154.72 on 3/14/26
- Bill from Guy’s Party Center for Reverse Raffle was $8,100
Communications: M. Oliver
- Posted 1976’s 50th Class Reunion on the website and Facebook
- Coach Marques Hayes will reach out to former players to see if anyone has an actual 2018-2019 Yearbook
- Posted Hall of Fame Flyer on website and Facebook on 2/12/26

Scholarships: M. Bond
- Spring Break is the week of March 31st at East CLC.
- Scholarships are to be submitted to M. Bond by March 27th
- The scholarship committee will receive the scholarship packages in the April board meeting.
- The review and scoring of the applications will be done by the Scholarship Committee and must be done by the May meeting.
- Recipients of the scholarships will be given award letters at the May Senior Recognition Assembly.
60+ Reunion: M.Bond/J.Stanley
- The 60+ Committee met at the first meeting on March 11th at the Goodyear Library.
- The committee is represented by classmates from the years 1952-1966
- This year’s theme is “East High First, East High Last, East High Best of All”
- M. Bond and J. Stanley met at Guy’s Party Center to review the menu.
- The cost of the tickets is $35.00, same as last year.
- Photographs for the four (4) classes will be $15.00 each. The middle ballroom will be available for the class photos.
- Set-up for the Reunion will be the day before on June 10th from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Hall of Fame: M. Sibbio
- M. Sibbio presented the new format for the 2026 Hall of Fame {“HOF”).
- Requested a separate budget for the Hall of Fame for donations and to redo the Hall of Fame hallway at East.
- A motion was made by C. Hayes and seconded by K.Larson to create a separate budget for HOF donations and to purchase items for renovation of the HOF hallway at East CLC. The vote passed seven (7) to three (3).
- M. Sibbio presented the idea of purchasing baseball hats, coasters, and a new HOF plaque with the inductees’ picture to be given to them at the ceremony on April 16th.
- A motion was made by C. Hayes and seconded by P. Mostyn to purchase seven (7) new picture frames totalling up to $300 for the HOF inductees. . The vote passed for the purchase of the HOF plaques/frames.
- The menu for the HOF dinner was discussed and chosen by the board.
- R. Fitzgerald from East CLC will be creating a video of the HOF inductees to be presented at the HOF ceremony.
- The format will change now with the person who nominated the inductee does not have to speak in person at the HOF Ceremony; but, will have a choice to be in the video and talk about the inductee and why he/she nominated the inductee.
- At the April 2nd board meeting, we will have more detailed information about the plans and progress for the HOF Ceremony on April 16, 2026.
Memberships: M. Anderson
- In March, we received the following:
- 2 – Lifetime memberships – $300
- 3- One (1) year renewals – $60
- Total of $360.00 for March
- Total of 6 renewal/new memberships for 2026 – $400
Recruitment: M.Oliver
- M.Oliver reached out to 2000 Class Officers and received no response, but will still keep trying to locate other individuals from that class and officers from other classes.
- It is a goal to contact East grads from 1976 to at least 2010 to inform them about the alumni association for membership and board representation. Their input is very much needed to recognize our former classmates, their accomplishments, to have events that encourage camaraderie and fundraising efforts for the current East High programs and scholarships.
Golf Outing: L. Bond
- J. Cotton , Class of 1969,and one other person have offered to drive golf carts at the golf outing.
- F.Silvey, Class of 1976, has been notified that we will not be able to sell beer on our own at the outing. All beverages must be bought through the golf course. Details will be worked out in the coming months.
- The date of the John Stanley Memorial Golf Outing is on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Mayfair Country Club.

- No further updates at this time.
Other/New Business:
- L. Bond stated that a formal report on the Reverse Raffle will be ready for the April board meeting.
- With the new ticket number format at the Reverse Raffle it will be a better system to see who purchased tickets and to keep a record of attendees.
- March “Spirit Wins” award goes to all of the people who donated to the 2026 Reverse Raffle.
Thank you to all who donated prizes and also to those who spent their evening at the Reverse Raffle and contributed to a successful fundraiser for our Alma mater, East High.
With no further business, the motion to adjourn was made by S.Kerechanin and seconded by M.Anerson. The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
NOTE CHANGE FOR NEXT MEETING: Scheduled for Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at the Goodyear Heights Library on Goodyear Blvd.
